Fort Myers-based Seagate Development Group LLC reported it has completed one substantial commercial renovation project and is on schedule to complete an additional five projects in Lee and Collier counties between now and November.

Since beginning operations in early 2015, Seagate has established itself as one of Southwest Florida’s leading full-service commercial and residential development and construction and commercial property management companies. Commercial and residential real estate development and construction are provided by Seagate Development Group, a licensed Florida contractor. SW Management and Realty, LLC, a related entity, is a licensed entity that provides commercial property management and brokerage services. Seagate’s development, construction, management, and brokerage services are readily available to third parties.

Seagate has completed a 15,000-square-foot interior build-out and exterior renovation budgeted at $850,000 for Emcyte Corp. at 4331 Veronica S. Shoemaker Blvd. in Fort Myers. Emcyte is a medical device manufacturer, packager, and distributor.

The project included construction of office space, a reception area, conference rooms, a training area, a break room, rest rooms, and a clean room to accommodate Emcyte’s injection molding operations for manufacturing syringes and other items that are vacuum-sealed packaged prior to shipping.

Construction of the clean room required the installation of a highly complex heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system with multiple layers of air filtration to protect the integrity of the clean room environment. The system is designed to clean the air more frequently and to deliver fresh air to the clean room space at a rate beyond what is required in normal office environments.

Significant steel modifications and electrical installations were made on the building’s roof to support the rooftop HVAC units. Seagate also created a comfortable work environment outside of the clean room that features carpet tile floor covering, open ceilings, and LED lighting.

Seagate expects to complete construction of a new 14,000-square-foot single-story facility for Summit Church in Gateway at 12941 Express Court in Fort Myers this month. The new, from the ground up construction management/design build project budgeted at nearly $2 million includes the creation of a large foyer, worship area, a large stage with a sound system and musical performance lighting, offices, classrooms, a multi-purpose room, and a children’s worship area. The project involves masonry block construction with conventional structural steel and a stucco finish and the installation of a TPO membrane roofing system.

Seagate is also on schedule to complete a construction management/design build renovation of the Sterling Oaks Clubhouse at 822 Sterling Oaks Blvd. in Naples this month. The project includes selective demolition of the existing main floor toilet rooms and lower level locker rooms to bring both areas up to the current Florida building code accessibility requirements, a task that requires a complete relocation of the areas’ existing plumbing to accommodate current accessibility code layout regulations.

An existing sauna will be refurbished to refresh the finishes, provide a new mechanical system, and to accommodate the new accessibility requirements. Interior finishes throughout the renovated areas were selected and provided by Freestyle Interiors and include new entry doors, ceramic floor and wall tile, custom vanity and locker cabinetry, quartz counter tops, an acoustical ceiling grid and tile, plastic toilet partitions, toilet accessories, decorative mirrors, new downlighting, sconces, and pendant lighting.

Seagate’s construction management project for the build out of a 19,900-square-foot office space for Gartner Inc. is scheduled for completion in August. The project includes the selective demolition of existing tenant spaces to accommodate a larger space for Gartner. Construction highlights include the installation of a four-inch raised floor throughout the entire space for data and electrical power feeds to the office’s cubicle work stations. Decorative wood timber ceilings will be installed in the break room and board room and wood timber and acoustical panel walls will be found throughout the entire space. Foam insulation will be sprayed on the roof deck to provide sound adsorption for the interior’s open ceiling.

Other features will include spiral ductwork, linear lighting, downlighting, decorative ceramic tile toilet room floors and walls, glass wall systems for the offices and meeting rooms, and carpet tile and luxury vinyl tile floor coverings.

Seagate was selected to lead a construction management/design and build project for Southport Truck Group, who represents Daimler Trucks North America’s Freightliner and Western Star Truck brands across eight counties in Southwest Florida. The new commercial truck dealership at 16110 Lee Road in Fort Myers is scheduled for completion in December.

The new 26,000-square-foot facility will include office space for sales, parts and service, a parts warehouse, and 18 service bays along with a large paved area for tractor, trailer and RV parking. The facility will be a combination of a Butler pre-engineered metal building, masonry and conventional structural steel. The finished structure will include a TPO membrane roofing system, aluminum framed exterior windows, open ceilings in the customer areas, and spiral duct work.
