CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintains financial reports, records and general ledger accounts. 
  2. Prepares journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations as well as assists with monthly closing processes. 
  3. Contributes to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections. 
  4. Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Assists the accounting manager, as needed. 
  2. Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures.

  1. Owns accounts payable and receivable cycle. 
  1. Routes received invoices for review and approval. 
  2. Enters approved invoices into account system. 
  3. Pays subcontractors and overhead, according to payment schedule. 
  4. Resolves discrepancies with subcontractors. 
  5. Reconciles credit card. 
  6. Bills customers every month. 
  7. Records receipts of payment in accounting system.

  1. Creates, collects and stores lien waivers.

  2. Oversees construction process from beginning to end. 
  3. Maintains schedule, budget and quality control. 
  4. Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees by directing, coordinating and evaluating units, in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  1. Estimates time, materials and labor required for each job.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Gathers/assists the project manager with all materials required for permit applications, per the local jurisdiction checklist. 
  2. Gathers/assists the field operations manager with all materials, per Seagate’s pre-orientation checklist.
  3. Completes, tracks and reports status of permit applications and notice of construction applications as well as tracks and resolves items that have been rejected. 
  4. Resolves issues with municipalities, if applicable. 
  5. Monitors and reports status of certificates of occupancy as well as tracks their associated fees. 
  6. Enters budgets for custom options or change orders approved by the vice president. This includes completing purchase orders, change events, prime contract change orders for clients, and commitment change orders or commitments for vendors. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Prints approved permit packages and distributes them to the project manager. 
  2. Prints any additional documents needed for the field, per the project manager’s request. 
  3. Uploads plans and various documents to project management software.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicates and works with clients throughout the interior design process. 
  2. Sources interior finishes, hard and soft furnishings, lighting and interior details. 
  3. Creates and executes design concepts, interior detail drawings and presentation materials. 
  4. Creates finish schedules and keeps organized records of project details. 
  5. Coordinates multiple projects simultaneously. 
  6. Assists with order placements and management. 
  7. Oversees project installations. 
  8. Maintains an overall luxury experience by supporting clients with expertise and courtesy. 
  9. Completes projects on schedule and within established budgets. 
  10. Works on client projects as well as in-house projects. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Maintains a thorough knowledge of market design trends. 
  2. Helps manage materials library.

  1. Prepares detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications as well as performing quality takeoffs for all scopes and trades. 
  2. Develops and prepares conceptual estimates with minimal assistance from subcontractors, using limited information. 
  3. Develops subcontract interest in projects and manages the subcontractor RFP process. 
  4. Develops high-quality subcontractor proposals, according to project specifics. 
  5. Itemizes trade-specific scopes and prepares bid packages. 
  6. Reviews software-generated estimates for completion and technical accuracy and to ensure quality and integrity.

  1. Assists purchasing and estimating departments with vetting project bids and buyouts. 
  2. Oversees construction process from design documents to turnover. 
  3. Maintains schedule, budget and quality control through Procore platform. 
  4. Manages construction managers who supervise employees by directing, coordinating and evaluating units, in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This includes interviewing, hiring and training employees; appraising employee performance; planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Commercial Construction Cost Estimator

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepares detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications as well as performing quality takeoffs for all scopes and trades. 
  2. Develops and prepares conceptual estimates with minimal assistance from subcontractors, using limited information. 
  3. Develops subcontract interest in projects and manages the subcontractor RFP process. 
  4. Develops high-quality subcontractor proposals, according to project specifics. 
  5. Itemizes trade-specific scopes and prepares bid packages. 
  6. Reviews software-generated estimates for completion and technical accuracy and to ensure quality and integrity. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Interacts with clients, architects, engineers and local jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc. 
  2. Helps construction team prepare job schedules.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, the Commercial Construction Cost Estimator must be proficient in commercial estimating software, such as MC2, Timerline/SageCRE, QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.; experience with Procore preferred. 

Education/Experience:

Relevant commercial construction estimating experience, particularly in conceptual budgeting; extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures and market trends; four-year degree in construction management or engineering or at least 10 years of experience preferred.
