FORT MYERS, Florida (November 15, 2022) — Seagate Development Group has been awarded the contract for the development and building services for the construction of California Closets’ new facility which will serve SWFL’s Lee, Collier, and Charlotte counties. The announcement came from Mark Coon, vice-president of the Seagate Commercial Division.
Mr. Coon commented,” Seagate Commercial is extremely pleased to have been awarded the contract for California Closets. Our plan is to have it completed in seven months after we have our permits in-hand. Our Earth Tech Enterprises Division, who were recently involved with beach clean-up in Collier County, is ready to begin site support”. The 40,000-square-foot facility is currently in the design phase with site-development permits already applied for. Construction will begin second-quarter 2023 with completion during first-quarter 2024. The complex will include a total of 5,000-square-feet of office space, and 35,000-square-feet of warehouse area.
The site will cover over 4 acres within the south Fort Myers Alico Trade Center. Alico Trade Center is Seagate’s 40,000-acre business park development located just north of Alico Road and I-75. Seagate recently announced the completion of the Rice Insulation & Glass 35,000-square-foot facility there. “Businesses want to improve efficiencies without the typical barriers created in a multi-tenant environment.
