Seagate Development Group is completing site work and interior finishes for NeoGenomics’ 150,000-square-foot, $60-million global headquarters. It is slated for a third-quarter turnover at 9490 NeoGenomics Way in Fort Myers – just north of Alico Road and a short drive from its current offices in the Gateway area.
As the owner, developer, construction manager and site contractor for NeoGenomics’ global headquarters, Seagate has completed the drainage, grading, curbing and sidewalk. Crews are currently installing pavers, irrigation lines and plant materials as well as preparing to conduct the final lift of asphalt in the parking lot and on the roadways. Additionally, team members are conducting striping, installing wheel stops and adding signage to the property.
Meanwhile, general contractor DeAngelis Diamond continues to install all the floor and wall finishes, the light and bathroom fixtures, and much more as well as to create punch lists for project completion. At the same time, the leading provider of cancer-focused genetic testing services has begun moving its equipment and furniture into the lab and office buildings.
The Southwest-Florida-landscape-changing facility will ultimately hold hundreds of employees. It encompasses two buildings – one 75,000-square-foot, three-story space for corporate offices and another 75,000-square-foot full-service cancer diagnostic lab that includes a state-of-the-art molecular laboratory for on-site physicians and technicians.
“This is the result of an international company’s vision to work with local firms that pride themselves just as much in building relationships as they do in creating fully functional facilities,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner at Seagate Development Group. “We’re nearly at the finish line of an ongoing effort to grow Lee County and the region overall.”
