A multi-toned wood ceiling stretches all the way down the wall behind the television in the living room and matches the 10 inch wide white oak flooring below. It’s one of the first things that draws the eye when people walk into the new Monaco model at Esplanade Lake Club in Fort Myers. The new model by Seagate Development Group added creative elements like this to make their newest home a stand out.
“I think you need a memory point in each home and this is a memory point,” said Cynde Thompson, interior designer with Theory Design.
“We knew that it was a large room and we had to break it up visually,” said Adriene Ged, an interior designer with Theory Design. “Instead of having so much dry wall we wanted to make your eye look up. That was our thought process with that.”
Brett Backus, vice president of sales and marketing for Seagate Development Group, said homes need focal points that people will remember.
“When you walk in the front door it is the wow factor,” Backus explained. “It is the looking out at the lake and the high end finish level.”
The entry opens to a great room that then opens to the lanai.
The lanai has a large section under roof with a sitting area, dining area and outdoor kitchen. There is also a linear fireplace that is two sided so you can see it from the pool side too. Screens come down at the push of a button. Beyond the screens is the pool and raised spa.
Inside the great room has a living room with two beige couches, two beige chairs, two rectangular wood coffee tables and a flat screen above a light black cabinet. Indented bookshelves are lined with wallpaper in earthy tones. The kitchen has four chairs with woven seats by the island. The sleek white cabinets are contrasted by black handles and the black cabinet wine bar area.
Ged says the kitchen is one of her favorite creations.
“I think the kitchen with the full wall backsplash is really special,” Ged said. “It is the same slab on the island. I like that because it is not something you see all the time.”
Decorators with Theory design chose White Beauty Quartzite for the backsplash wall and the countertops.
The dining area extends from the kitchen and has a rectangular table that is large enough to seat eight. The den, that is right off the entrance, has a chair and bookshelves with a bottom shelf that sticks out providing a long desk.
The master suite begins with a morning bar with a refrigerator. The bedroom has a king sized bed in light gray that matches the light gray dresser. There are two tweed chairs by the window and a single glass door that leads to the lanai. A leather cream colored bench sits at the foot of the bed. Two large black night tables on either side of the bed add color contrast. The wood beams in the ceiling match the floor below.
The bathroom continues the contrast colors with its black and white cabinets.
One of the guest suites has a king sized bed in white and dark gray. A geometric sculpture over bed matches the pattern in the throw pillows. The other guest room has a queen sized bed in light gray and white with a wooden headboard. This room has sliding glass doors that lead to the lanai. Both guest rooms have a bathroom and walk in closet.
Seagate Development Group is known for putting a refrigerator in the laundry room of all its homes. Backus says this is a great way to have the extra refrigeration space without putting the appliance in a hot garage. The model also features a drop zone by the garage entrance with a padded beige bench with black trim and black pillows and a wooden wall with hooks.
“This is our flagship model,” Backus said.
The model spans 3,299 square feet under air and 5,305 total square feet. It has three bedrooms and a study, three full and one half bathrooms, and a three car garage. The model is for sale for $2.35 million.
Esplanade Lake Club is a new Taylor Morrison community with residences by Taylor Morrison, villas by Pulte and single family custom homes by Seagate Development. There will be 637 front doors , on the 778 acres of land, at buildout. The community will have pickleball, a resort style pool, clubhouse, fitness center and Bahama grill. There will be community docks and people can have their own dock. The gated community is on a 352 acre lake that is deep enough for power boating.
“This lake is like green and blue,” Backus boasted. “It is Caribbean and it is like 40 feet.”
