Seagate Development Group has broken ground on a 9.71-acre, 45,000-square-foot facility for White Cap Construction Supply. The national building materials supplier’s design-build project is under construction at 16542 Oriole Road – off Alico Road – in Fort Myers.
Crews are now clearing and filling the site as well as preparing the two building pads for the foundation and slabs. Within the next two months, they will complete all the required infrastructure, including a lift station; water, sewer and fire lines; and drainage.
Seagate will also erect an 18,000-square-foot metal structure for steel fabrication – complete with an overhead crane and steel-bending machines. The main building will feature an expansive 32,990-square-foot warehouse, an open-area conference room, a break room and a showroom, among other components.
Seagate is slated to complete the facility in mid-October and turn it over before month’s end.
“When one of the nation’s largest suppliers of power tools and specialty materials chooses a booming area as its next destination, you move quickly and efficiently, with your eye on a design-build fit for long-term growth and increased productivity,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner at Seagate Development Group. “We know this destination like the back of our hand and set the tone for design-builds done right, so a project of this magnitude is simply second nature for us.”
PDS Architecture is the exclusive architect on White Cap, while Quattrone & Associates is the civil engineer.
