Seagate Development Group has started building a 32,000-square-foot warehouse and 3,000-square-foot office for Rice Insulation & Glass at Alico Trade Center. The Seagate-owned, Class-A business park is at Alico Road and Oriole Road in Fort Myers.

This construction milestone comes after crews poured the foundation for the design-build as well as started exterior walls and steel columns. They are also continuing site development and additional exterior construction.

The office space is reserved for sales and management teams and will include a reception area, a conference room, four oversized offices with 10 workstations, three standard offices, training and break rooms, and closets and restrooms. The warehouse will be topped with insulation, glass, shower door and shelving materials as well as high-dock and grade-level doors. The parking lot will accommodate 100 vehicles.

Rice Insulation & Glass is the first tenant at the 40-acre Alico Trade Center. The facility will be surrounded by other single-tenant office, flex and industrial buildings in a growing area of Lee County.

“We are working with Studio+, Quattrone & Associates, and other key partners to have Rice Insulation & Glass up and running by the first quarter of 2022,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner at Seagate Development Group. “The facility sets the standard for the design-builds we welcome at Alico Trade Center – 12,000-plus-square-foot to 45,000-plus-square-foot custom facilities that accommodate employees just as much as the clients the companies serve.”
