Seagate Development Group first made a name for itself nearly seven years ago with one new community, preferred builder status in Quail West, two design-build projects, a commercial property management portfolio of roughly one million square feet, and a focus on delivering the best product and customer service in the marketplace. Today, with an award-winning portfolio of projects, an employee count that has multiplied more than six times over, a global headquarters off I-75, and new and growing divisions, the leading, full-service residential and commercial development company has an unwavering business model that adheres to the belief that profit is an inevitable byproduct of the Seagate Mission.

Seagate’s commercial sector ended 2021 with over $90 million in construction and development contracts. Those include high-profile projects like NeoGenomics’ global headquarters, Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s North American corporate headquarters as well as White Cap Construction Supply’s and Rice Insulation & Glass’ newest facilities. This is coupled with the groundbreaking of Alico Trade Center – a 40-acre business park for single-tenant, flex and industrial design-builds. The end-of-year success is also due in part to the sale of Arbor Towne Square as well as self-storage facilities in Arbor Towne Square and Estero, along with tenant improvement projects throughout Fort Myers.

Just last month, Seagate purchased Liberty Plaza for $11.75 million – expanding its commercial property management division into the Naples market, in addition to the 1.5 million square feet currently in its management and leasing portfolio.

Not to be outdone, Seagate’s residential division closed 2021 with over $105 million in residential sales. This includes model and custom homes in Windward Isle, Esplanade Lake Club, Hill Tide Estates, Talis Park and Quail West. Seagate also quickly became an in-demand luxury home renovations market leader throughout Southwest Florida. One of its testaments to that success is a Sand Dollar award for a whole house remodel over $1 million in Quail West. Now, with a framework for an estate management program in the works, the team can continue to serve residential clients long after turnover.

Theory Design – a Seagate company – established itself as one of the fastest growing luxury interior design firms in the market. The team completed three model home designs in Esplanade Lake Club, along with a remodel and new home in Quail West, two model homes in Hill Tide Estates and one model home in Talis Park. The team’s Oak Hill model in Quail West not only took home a Sand Dollar award for Interior Design of the Year (single-family homes at $5 million or more), but it was also named Home & Design Magazine’s February Signature Home. With 40 projects on its agenda, Theory Design has hired a vice president and new team members at every level to accommodate the growing demand for its holistic approach to interior design.

“We’ve always looked past challenges to find opportunities that garner success. We expect 2022 will present opportunities in new and unique forms, and our growing team

of accomplished talent is ready to exemplify the mission that we’ve carried since day one,” said James Nulf, Jr., Chief Operating Officer & Partner at Seagate Development Group.
