Seagate Development Group, along with DeAngelis Diamond, Studio+, Hole Montes and other key partners, have completed NeoGenomics’ global headquarters at 9490 NeoGenomics Way – off Alico Road – in Fort Myers.

This Class-A facility stems from NeoGenomics’ vision of a local team of experts. Seagate is the owner, developer, construction manager and site contractor, while DeAngelis Diamond is the general contractor.

In just 16 months, crews constructed a $60-million, 150,000-square-foot project over 14 acres. It includes two buildings – one 75,000-square-foot, three-story space for corporate offices and another 75,000-square-foot full-service cancer diagnostic lab. The latter accommodates a state-of-the-art molecular laboratory for physicians and technicians.

An executive wing, a cafeteria, an indoor and outdoor dining area, and a courtyard between the two buildings are just some of the on-site amenities. They accompany modernized products, such as a safety shower, eye-washing stations and updated electrical, HVAC, duct and sprinkler systems.

“The key to successful development, especially with unexpected landmines like COVID, supply chain issues and rising inflation, is assembling a team with the right mix of ability, talent, humility and local knowledge,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner at Seagate Development Group. “Our team proudly responded to those challenges and exceeded our client’s expectations. It was an honor to contribute to the opportunities that NeoGenomics is providing – from local employment to international, life-changing research. We couldn’t have accomplished these lofty goals without great help from our Lee County commissioners, staff and economic development office spearheaded by John Talmage. Seagate is blessed to have such leaders in Southwest Florida.”
