Seagate Development Group has completed the development and construction of Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s North American corporate headquarters at 9597 Gulf Research Lane in Fort Myers.

In addition to eight acres of site improvements and a road extension, crews built a 60,000-square-foot, class-A multinational transportation and logistics facility – over 59,000 square feet larger than Scotlynn’s original office in 2010. It includes a gym, a basketball court, a cafeteria, and an indoor/outdoor recreational space with an eating area as well as private offices and collaboration centers for 350 management and operations team members. By 2024, that number will increase to 460.

The state-of-the art industrial space is the vision of Executive Vice President Ryan D. Carter and his business partner who founded Scotlynn USA Division Inc. and Scotlynn Transport LLC. Specializing in truckload transportation and the distribution of perishable products, Scotlynn manages thousands of shipments across North America each week that provide essential food and supplies for millions of people.

“Despite a never-before-experienced pandemic, Seagate brought our new three-story headquarters to fruition in less than a year,” Carter said. “They recognized Scotlynn’s local growth opportunities and how that influences resources for the entire nation. Nothing can stop momentum of this nature and, as a result, we are able to keep our trucks on the road for a significant portion of the year. We are proud to have partnered with Seagate and excited for the future of Scotlynn.”

Now, Scotlynn is central to Lee County, North Collier and I-75 as well as in proximity to Florida Gulf Coast University, which sources 50 percent of its workforce.

“It has been a pleasure working with Ryan and his team on this amazing project,” said Matt Price, CEO & Partner at Seagate Development Group. “As always, there are obstacles in the design-build process, but when you combine Ryan’s passion for his employees’ experience and my team’s best-in-class methods and service, the results speak for themselves.”
