FORT MYERS, Florida (April 20, 2023) — Recently Seagate Development Group along with client Ten-8 Fire and Safety broke ground on a new 16,000 sq-ft custom-built Fire Rescue vehicle certification and service center located in Seagate’s Alico Business Park. There were around 40 attendees. Matt Price, CEO and Partner at Seagate Development Group, stated, ”We are extremely proud to partner with prestigious Ten-8 on their newest purpose-built repair site. We both share mutual relationships with our clients to deliver a product experience that is second to none”.

Ten-8 (which literally means, in 10-code, ‘In Service’) Fire and Safety is the premier fire-rescue apparatus and firefighting equipment dealer and repair service dealer in Florida and Georgia. The state-of-the-art repair facility will have the capacity to service 11 trucks concurrently with secure outside storage for a further 20 apparatus. Seagate will also build a covered wash bay, 15,000 gallon pump test pit, and a dedicated charging and maintenance bay for Pierce® Volterra™zero-emissions electric vehicles and ambulances as they become available. An extensive parts inventory will also be maintained to service local departments. This will expand their current six Florida repair location, with an additional two locations in Georgia. 

The groundbreaking was also attended by the San Carlos Park Fire Protection & Rescue Service Division, Fire Chief David Cambareri, displaying a 75-foot Pierce Aerial Ladder Truck. Also represented in attendance were Fort Myers Shores Fire Department, Marco Island Fire Department, North Fort Myers Fire Department, City of Fort Myers Fire Department, Desoto Fire Department, and Bonita Springs Fire Department.
